I-Influence Privacy Policy

This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices of I-Influence Limited's (hereinafter "I-Influence", "we", or "us") for its platform at i-influence.com and its widgets deployed customers on customers’ own Facebook Brand pages and websites (hereinafter collectively refer to as "this platform", “our platform”, “our website”).

Information Collection and Use

Your usage of our platform will produce information both explicitly and implicitly provided by you, and I-influence is the owner of all information collected via this platform. The information we collect includes social network profile and usage information transferred to us via social network APIs with explicit consent by you, information that you type in on our platform, and information about your usage of our platform.

We analyze the information to understand the demographics and preferences of our users, to understand the profiles of their social network connections (friends), to understand the content that they view on our platform, to verify transactions, and to identify fraudulent activities on our platform.

Your personally identifiable information (PII) is never shared with 3rd parties including advertisers and our customers without your permission. From time to time we will send promotional emails to members on an advertiser's behalf with explicit opt-in from you. We will contact you from time to time with administrative and website features update information.

General User Information Collected

I-Influence uses Google Analytics to analyze aggregated and anonymous traffic statistics on our website. To understand what information Google Analytics collects about you on an anonymous basis, please visit Google Analytics' page (http://www.google.com/analytics). We do not collect any PII (Personally Identifiable Information) such as email address (that we can use to contact individuals) from general website users who are not registered.

I-Influence places a cookie on a general user's computer when the user visits our website. "Cookies" are files that are stored on your web-enabled client programs, such as your web browser. We use this cookies to count the number of unique visitors to our platform. Cookies cannot erase your hard drive or otherwise damage your computer and do not store any PII such as e-mail address. I-influence does not use cookies to retrieve PII from your computer.

Registrant Information Collected

I-influence.com users register by connecting and authenticating using social network APIs such as Facebook Connect. In the process of registering and logging in as an I-Influence member (via our website or from third party sites using I-Influence’s widgets), we collect PII shared via Facebook that is required to calculate and update the online influence of a member and that member’s friends, including:

  • Name
  • Email (Members only)
  • Profile Picture
  • Birth Date/ Birth Year / Age (Members only)
  • Gender
  • Hometown and Current location
  • Facebook ID
  • ID and Names of Facebook Friends (Members only)
  • ID and Names of Facebook Groups affiliations
  • Posts to Facebook Profile/Wall
  • Check-Ins to Physical Locations (Members only)
  • Likes, Interests, Music, TV, Movies, Books
  • Facebook Events (Members only)
  • Work History
  • Sharing of Content from our platform (Members only)

All registrant information collected from other social networks is explicit and with the consent of the registrant. We explicitly obtain your permission to also access your data offline when you’re not actively using our platform.

All registrant information is collected and stored in a password-protected environment. This information is used only for service. We will not sell or rent this information to non-affiliated entities. We may use emails to contact registrants for membership maintenance purposes.

I-Influence.com contains links to other parties' websites, but I-Influence has no control over and is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other websites, including but limited to sites such as Facebook, Twitter and GetSatisfaction. We encourage our users to be cautious when they leave this website and to review the privacy policies of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy policy applies only to information collected by this website.

I-Influence.com employs industry standard security measures to protect all data collected on the website. PII data collected by and stored on our servers are considered proprietary and confidential, and is not available to the general public. Our internal security policy allows only a limited group of employee access to the data, and only on a need-to-know basis. We routinely evaluate our data security measures to identify opportunities for improvement. No data transmission or storage is guaranteed to be completely secure. It may be possible for third parties not under the control of I-influence to intercept or access data or communications unlawfully. We strive to protect your PII, but cannot ensure or warrant of any information you transmit to us. You acknowledge and assume this risk when communicating and doing business with I-influence.

Site and Service Updates

We may send registrants website and service announcement updates by email. Registrants will not be able to unsubscribe from service announcements because they contain important information about the service. We may also communicate with registrants via phone to provide requested service and in regards to issues relating to their accounts. If you wish to terminate your registered account permanently and never receive communications from I-influence again, please contact us via email using the Contact Us page.

Updating Personal, Contact or Account Information

If a registrant's personally identifiable information changes (such as email address or advertiser phone number), the registrant should correct and update the information using the registrant's primary social network chosen during registration. If any piece of information cannot be updated, then the registrant should contact I-influence via email using the Contact Us page.

Notification of Changes

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post the changed privacy policy and make it accessible on this site along with the date such privacy policy was last updated so our registrants are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.
